Paraplanner – Employment Opportunity

A Paraplanner is the junior member of a financial planning team, but an important role in helping provide exceptional service to OLV clients.  Among the many responsibilities, Paraplanners are key for gathering data, assessing client information, and suggesting a path of financial execution. This is all done under the mentorship of the Senior Financial Advisor and alongside a supporting Client Service Associate.

Position Requirements:

  • Direct experience working in financial services is preferred but not required.
  • Bachelor’s degree with a major in finance or economics is preferred.
  • Currently hold or are working toward relevant certifications such as Series 7, 6, 63, 65, 66, CFP, CFA.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Learns quickly and enjoys collaborating with others to meet challenges.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, critical thinking, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and able to learn other technology programs quickly.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Starting wage: $30,000-$35,000 annual salary

Full Time position, 40+ hours
Office Location: Flint, Mi or Livonia, MI
Travel time: up to 20% of time

  • Three to ten years of experience in the financial industry
  • Currently has a client base
  • FINRA Series 6, 7, 63 65, or 66 license
  • Finance or Economics degree preferred, but not required
